Both times we have tried to get forums going, there has been a significant lack of participation! I don’t want to keep beating a dead horse, so I had been thinking of posting here to ask you all if anyone is, in fact, even interested in the swapping/selling forum idea. Then recently I discovered that there is a very active Sooke Mommies Facebook group (I know, I’m behind the times because I wasn’t on Facebook), as well as a Sooke Moms Swap ‘n’ Shop group. Perhaps that is enough – people seem to really be using those groups for the purposes I had in mind for the forums. So I have joined the current age and signed up for Facebook, much to my husband’s chagrin.
What do you think? I think I’m going to give up on the forum thing and go shut down our very unused yuku site (unless I hear a great protest in the comments) and let Sooke Families just be an informational site with the weekly events updates.
Yea? Nay? is everyone (with the exception of myself until the other day) already on Facebook anyway? I know people weren’t big on signing up for yuku just to be able to view or write posts. Thoughts?
