Feeling creative? From Monday, October 22 until Tuesday, October 30, bring in a mask of your design and help us decorate the library for Halloween! Winning submissions for children, teens and adults will be selected on Wednesday, October 31.
- Friday, October 26 (7:00-11:00 PM) and Saturday, October 27 (6:00-10:00 PM): Eerie Acres Haunted Graveyard in East Sooke

- Saturday, October 27: Halloween Swim (All Ages), 1:00-3:30 PM
Come in if you dare!!! SEAPARC’s pool will be transformed into a haunted house full of spooky staff and creepy crawlies.
- Saturday, October 27: Second Annual Shirley Hallowe’en Sideshow, 6:00-10:00 PM
A family-friendly event that showcases the weird and wonderful residents of Shirley and surrounding wilds. This is a by donation event with a suggested donation of $10 per family. See the website for more details.
- Sunday, October 28: Halloween Costume Skate, 2:00-3:15 PM.
Grab your Halloween costume and ice skates and treat yourself to some spooky skating at SEAPARC during our Halloween themed public skate. Regular admission rates apply.

Come in costume to our Halloween storytime! There will be spooky (but not too scary) tales and rhymes, a sweet treat for trick-or-treaters, and a special Halloween craft. Everyone welcome; no registration required.
- Wednesday, October 31: Safe Halloween at the Community Hall (All Ages), 5:00-9:00 PM
Calling all superheroes, ghosts, princesses and pirates! Join us for this safe and SPOOKTACULAR Community Costume Party that will have a haunted house, inflatables, face painting, and candy, of course! Free admission. Donations gratefully accepted to help keep this event a success.

According to the paper, Safe Halloween is at the Community Hall, Seaparc is on the organizing committee.

It seems like there is something called “The Sooke Haunting” happening at the Community Hall, but I hadn’t posted it yet because the date is apparently TBA (?); see here: http://www.sookeregionmuseum.com/calendar/calendar/frame.htm and scroll down to the bottom of the left column for October 2012.
